DYPDC brings together the complementary strengths of the prestigious DY Patil Group in the area of educational program delivery and management and that of legendary Dilip Chhabria in the area of Automotive Design and Innovation.

DYPDC offers highly experiential, hands-on programs with a unique learning experience to explore new ways of generating cutting-edge solutions using creativity and design principles.

Courses offered by DYPDC are:

  • Undergraduate Program in Automobile Design – 3 years duration, full-time
  • Post Graduate Program in Automobile Design – 2 years duration, full-time
  • Postgraduate program in Automobile Digital Modeling – 09 Months duration, full-time
  • Postgraduate program in Integrated Product Design - 2 years duration, full-time
  • Postgraduate program in Business Innovation & Strategy - 2 years duration, full-time

The primary focus of DYPDC programs is to ensure that its students are industry-ready, able to think strategically and provide design solutions in a business context. Education at DYPDC is about learning how to think. Our faculty encourages students not become passive recipients of knowledge, but facilitate their path of discovery. With small class sizes, students are encouraged to think critically and express themselves clearly.

DYPDC is situated at Dr. DY Patil Knowledge city a serene 100 acres campus with aesthetic landscaping and beautiful architecture. At DYPDC, we have an impressive range of facilities and equipment all under one roof. In the modelshop and workshop, students and faculty members come together to create experimental prototypes. The students combine high-tech digital modeling with traditional craft processes in the Model Shop. Students have access to Rapid Prototyping facility in order to convert their concepts and ideas into physical plastic and metal prototypes to test for form, fit and function.
